Dr. Alicia Varghese was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biological Sciences at the University of Alberta.
She then moved to Waterloo to pursue her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science. During her time in Waterloo, she participated in a mission trip to Ecuador to provide eye care to communities where eye health examinations are not as easily accessible. Dr. Varghese also had the opportunity to participate in an internship at the OMNI Eye Specialists in Baltimore where she gained diverse experience in advanced eye care and ocular disease management.
She is passionate about patient education and communication is always engaged in continuous learning. Through her optometric training, she is up-to-date with the current technologies and has a special interest in pediatric eye care.
In her spare time, she likes to read, bake, travel, and spend time with family and friends.
